Although many sources of toxins are unavoidable, you can control your home environment to some extent. Here’s a breakdown of some straightforward ways to minimise excessive toxins in your home:

  1. Clean Green: Chemical-based cleaners not only require your liver to detoxify them but can also disturb your gut bacteria, leading to negative health effects. Natural cleaners, like vinegar, lemon juice, and bicarbonate of soda, are cost-effective and proven over time. They tackle most cleaning tasks without leaving harmful residues on your skin or polluting the environment.

Natural/Chemical-Free Personal Care: Your skin acts like a sponge, absorbing a significant portion of what you apply to it and transferring these substances into your bloodstream, where your liver then processes them. Numerous personal care items, including lotions, perfumes, shower gels, shampoos, and laundry products, often harbour potentially harmful ingredients. Instead, opt for products that boast natural ingredients and essential oils. Additionally, consider choosing organic tampons and toothpaste free from harmful chemicals for a healthier personal care routine.
